ABOUT
George’s story is one of resilience, creativity, and love for humanity.
Born in Brooklyn, NY, in 1944, George excelled in both the Arts and Sciences, earning degrees from prestigious institutions, including St. Bonaventure University, SUNY Binghamton, McGill University, Case Western Reserve, and La Salle University. At age 26, he earned his Ph.D. in Romance Languages and was a professor at St. John’s University, also teaching as an adjunct at Fordham University. Fluent in five languages, George’s love of music led to composing, performing, and recording, including his RCA album “Time to Wonder Why”. He also contributed to television and Off-Broadway productions, published poetry, and authored significant works such as “The Planetarium Papers” and “The Holy Bible in Verse”.
In November 2023, 10 years after George’s passing, I began my quest to raise social awareness of the healing power of art, showcasing 21 of George’s original oil paintings which he created as his lifeline through the decades of surgeries & therapies after suffering an unprecedented Traumatic Brain Injury in 1977. Hence, I have developed and am curating the exhibits: “The TBI Legacy Collection”, Navigating Life, Love & the Healing process through Art after Traumatic Brain Injury & Stroke. I am honored to share his legacy with you and am deeply humbled by the trust and love that my brother placed in me by bequeathing to me his life’s works.
The following menu links, although still under construction, will offer a prelude to the breadth of his vast innovative works!
